Michael Truitt, Business Manager, BS, BPI
Michael has spent the last ten years retrofitting older homes in Colorado, with a focus on energy
efficiency. Before that he spent 10 years remodeling upscale homes in Northern Virginia. He
holds a degree in Business and Finance from George Mason University and plans to earn an
MBA from CSU in the near future. Michael is also the founder of San Juan Youthworks, a
wilderness and vocational training program for low-income at-risk youth in Southern Colorado, www.sanjuanwilderness.com. In his free time Michael likes to spend time with his family in the

Don Schiller,BA, Project Manager, Building Analyst Professional -BPI
Don recently relocated to the great state of Colorado. He comes to us from Annapolis, Maryland
where he and his wife, Nancy, have lived for the last ten years. Don’s passion is creating stained
glass windows and sustainable living. He wants to educate his clients and show them how they
can conserve energy and reduce their carbon footprint. In his former lives, Don was a teacher,
a father, a coach and a medical equipment salesman. He’s an artist and a retired sailor who is

Gail Raspanti, Outreach Coordinator, BS, LEED Green Associate Candidate
Gail recently joined us from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She graduated in May 2010 from
Allegheny College with a Bachelors of Science in Environmental Science. While at school she
became very interested in the green building and energy efficiency sector and is continuing her
education in this field today. In her free time she enjoys the outdoors, hiking, and kayaking, and

Michael Murphy, Energy Auditor, Grant Writer, BS, BPI, RESNET
Michael has completed over 150 energy audits in the Boulder and Northern Colorado area
in the past two years. He started building and remodeling homes at the age of 16 with his
grandfather who is a construction supervisor for Habitat for Humanity in Southern Colorado. He
attended the University of Northern Colorado where he studied Business Finance and Spanish.
After graduating he took an interest in the energy efficiency industry which led him to pursue
certifications as both a BPI Building Analyst and RESNET Energy Rater. He has been with This

Alex Murphy, Lead Retrofitter, BPI, RESNET
Alex has successfully completed over 150 retrofit projects in the past two years, nearly all
of which were subject to thorough quality control inspections by the City of Fort Collins
Residential Efficiency Program. He started building and remodeling homes with his grandfather
when he was 16 years old. In addition he has worked for Habitat for Humanity and Calibre
Engineering as an Auto-Cad Technician. When he’s not working he enjoys spending time with

Travis Martin, Mechanical, NATE, Licensed HVAC
Since graduating from a 2-year HVAC program in 2002, Travis has been installing hot-water
heaters, high-efficiency furnaces and boilers in Northern Colorado. He is one of the few NATE-
certified installers in Northern Colorado. He has completed all required trainings by the City of
Fort Collins “HVAC-Select” program and has passed numerous quality assurance inspections for
best-practice installations. With over eight years experience in new construction and residential
replacement he is at the top of his class. |

Reed Davidson, Lead Retrofitter, BS, BPI
Reed is Wyoming born and raised, but moved to Fort Collins in 2005. After earning a BS in
Microbiology from the University of Wyoming, he worked for two years as a researcher for
UW and New York Universities. He also spent five years in a process development Pilot Plant
for a global biopharmaceutical company. In between his endeavors in academic and industry
science, he has worked as a carpenter building custom log homes, remodels, and traditional

Joseph Pickering, Retrofit Specialist, BPI Certified
As one of our most experienced tradesman, “Seph” has completed all types of retrofit work since
joining the company during the fall of 2010 and has completed numerous required trainings for
building envelope projects. |

Jim Danella BS, EIT, BPI Building Analyst
Jim has a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Southern California who has lived throughout the world, and knows how buildings need to be constructed to suit different environments. Through a creative approach to building performance he sees that all systems must be evaluated in order to achieve optimal energy efficiency, comfort, & the health and safety of the occupants. Whether working on your dream home in the mountains or your downtown commercial space, Jim believes that the right way to do business is through: Communication, Cooperation, Confidence, & Compassion. |
